Our Services

Cutting and engraving for trade & industry.

Three core services across four machines — two CNC routers and two lasers. We cut for signwriters, builders, shopfitters, and fabricators.

What we make

Four jobs we do well.

Two-dimensional work for trade. Clean parts, accurate templates, sized panels, engraving. If your job fits, send it through.

01

Cut-to-size lettering

Finished letters and shapes ready for installation. Signwriters take it from there.

02

Cutting templates

Layout, paint masking, drill positions, on-site marking — cut to your exact spec.

03

Custom panel work

One-off shapes, sized panels, brackets. Sheet stock cut to your drawing.

04

Engraving

Laser engraving on approved materials, V-bit and 3D engraving on the router.

01 — CNC Routing

CNC routing.

High-precision CNC routing on plastics, ACM, foam PVC, MDF, plywood, and timber. Two machines covering small precision jobs to full sheet panels up to 3 metres. Suitable for signage, panel fabrication, V-groove work, decorative panels, templates, jigs, and production runs.

  • Sheet sizes up to 3000 × 1220 mm
  • Up to 50 mm cut depth on most materials
  • Suitable for plastics, composites, and timber-based materials
  • Repeatable accuracy across batches

Machines

Avid CNC

2440 × 1220 mm bed · up to 50 mm

Multicam SR3012V

3000 × 1220 mm bed · up to 50 mm

Machines

Thunder Laser Nova 51

1300 × 900 mm · 130 W · up to 8 mm

Production Laser

1220 × 2440 mm · up to 12 mm

02 — Laser Cutting

Laser cutting.

Clean, fast laser cutting on acrylic, MDF, plywood, and approved materials. Two machines covering everyday letter and panel work plus larger production. Best for fine detail, lettering, decorative panels, and intricate shapes.

  • Up to 12 mm thickness on the production laser
  • Up to 8 mm on the Thunder, with pass-through for full sheets
  • Suitable for acrylic, MDF, plywood, paper, fabric (approved only)
  • Crisp edges and tight detail

Note: PVC, vinyl, and unknown plastics are never laser cut for safety reasons. Foam PVC is CNC routed only.

03 — Engraving

Laser & 3D router engraving.

Surface engraving for signage, plaques, and detail work. Laser engraving on acrylic, timber, and approved materials. CNC 3D engraving for raised and standoff signage effects.

  • Laser engraving on acrylic, timber, anodised aluminium (approved)
  • CNC 3D relief engraving for raised/recessed signage
  • Photo-grade halftone engraving on suitable materials (review required)

Tolerance

±0.1 mm cut tolerance.

On the Avid CNC PRO4896 and Thunderlaser Nova 51, ±0.1 mm cut tolerance under standard conditions. For lettering, panel work, and templates, plan around that number.

For mating parts and slot-fits, we discuss tolerance up-front — including whether nominal or measured-actual material thickness drives the cut.

Nominal vs actual

Stated thickness is a target — real sheets vary. 6 mm cast acrylic typically arrives 5.8–6.6 mm (per ISO 7823). 12 mm MDF typically lands within ±0.2 mm (per AS/NZS 1859).

For tight-tolerance fits, flag it on the quote so we cut against your measured stock.

04 — Add-ons

Finishing on cut parts.

Drilling, tapping, countersinking, flame polishing, edge finishing, deburring, radius corners, powerpoint cutouts, file prep, and assembly. All quoted alongside the cut on the same job.

  • Drilling

    Through-holes to spec

  • Tapping

    Threaded holes or insert prep

  • Countersinking

    Chamfered for flush screws

  • Flame polishing

    Glass-clear acrylic edges

  • Edge finishing

    Sanded, dressed, or polished

  • Deburring

    Cleaned edges, no swarf

Boundaries

What CutPro doesn't do.

Being clear about scope means clean quotes and honest lead times. The list below isn't a limitation — it's where CutPro focuses, so the work we do take on lands well.

No 3D, double-sided, or rotary

2D cutting only. No contour milling, no double-sided flips, no rotary work. Send the job to a shop that runs that kit.

No install, paint, or finishing

We cut. Install, paint, and finishing are the customer's scope or their fitter's. Mounting templates available — quoted per job.

No solid metal cutting

No steel, stainless, or aluminium plate. ACM (aluminium composite panel) is fine — that's a different material.

No PVC or vinyl on the laser

Safety rule. PVC-based materials release chlorine gas when laser cut — damages the machine and is toxic to operators. Foam PVC is CNC routed only.

No certified engineering tolerances

Standard production tolerance is ±0.1 mm. Certified ISO-grade tolerance work is outside scope.

No walk-ins

Helensvale workshop is appointment only. Pickup and drop-off times confirmed when your job is booked.

Customer-supplied stock

Bring your own material?

Accepted under review. Send file, stock condition, and material details with the quote request — we'll confirm machine compatibility before cutting.

Process

How a job runs.

01

Send your file

Upload your file with a quote request. DXF is best. AI, SVG, PDF, EPS, DWG accepted.

02

We quote and review

We review file, material, process, and lead time. Quote back, usually within 1 business day.

03

Cut, finish, collect

Pickup from Helensvale by appointment, or local Gold Coast delivery on request.
